I'm a descendant of Ann Charleton who married Col. Edmund Scarborough of, born 1615 of Accomack Co., Virginia. Stephen Charleton along with William Andrews was appointed commander of the district from Nassawattocks to Hungars on 30 April 1644. Capt. Stephen Charleton may have been born either in Hexham or Hesleyside Co. Northumberland, England about 1590 and died in in 1663. I'm trying to find any information on this family. Any help would be appreciated.
