Don't know if this will help you or not, but I have copies of records from the Chase Chronicles,from Bristol Co. Reg. of Deeds, that in 1715, WM. CHASE bought land from several people.I haven't tracked which WM. this was, the father or son.But according to this he was in Swansea at that time.He also bought land from a man in Freetown, MA, in 1722.I know I've seen some in Freetown, and seems to have been in the late 1700's.Hope this helps.
