Re: Chase's in California

Levi Chase came by ship, from Maine, to San Diego, California in 1867.He is related to Aquila Chase, one of the three original Chase's that came to America around 1630's. I have the name of each male back to John Chase born about 1486 at Chesham, Buckinghamshire, England.Prior to that I believe we came over during or after the battle of Hastings from Normandy, and prior to that from Sweden (Vikings). I am told one of my relatives met Mark Twain up by Mono Lake, California.
