Once again, the earliest Aquila is which?
I have read the Seven Generations book and have read a number of posts on this forum. I understand that the English ancestors of either Aquila b 1618 m to Ann Wheeler, or Aquila b 1652 m to Esther Bond are unknown.I would appreciate knowing which Aquila is the presently accepted first in the chain. Is it Aquila b1618 m to Ann Wheeler, or Aquila b 1652 m to Esther Bond? Aquila b 1652 is #2 in the book. I guess Aquila1 is what I am calling Aquila b 1618 and all we really know is that he appeared in Hampton, NH in 1639. Therefore the b 1618 and the parents are unknown. Is that correct? I would like to get this fixed on my tree once and for all. I know this has been extensively discussed but I don't know what the consensus is. Thank you.
