I hope you read this 9 years later!! I've only just started researching my family tree. My maternal grandmother's maiden name is Ruth Charlotte E Chase born either 1875/1876 in Islington, so that ties in with your post. She married James Muggleton,in 1899. He was a blacksmith. At the 1911 census they were living in 7 North Terrace, Swan Lane, Whetstone, London At that time they had 5 children aged between 2 and 11. Sometime between 1911 and 1913 they moved to Algar Road, Isleworth, Middlesex where they had 2 more children including my mother Edith Ruth who was born January 1913. She married my father in 1939 and I appeared in 1940.

I haven't backtracked much further than James & Ruth yet - as I said I've only just started - in fact your info was very helpful. If I find out any more about the Chases I'll let you know or if you have progressed further than William Richard perhaps you'd let me know.
