Re: Info on the Chastain Tribe

Just wondering if you might have any info on Chastains around the Atlanta, Ga area in the mid 1800's.We have been trying to find the parents of one, Dora Carolyn Chastain, b. 1867 d. 1896.We believe her mother to be a Mrs. J.B. Chastain.At this point we think the J.B. stands for Jane Barton, Daughter of a Bailey Barton.It appears as though they all came from the Pickens District in SC or the Greenville, SC area.

If you have any info, it would be appreciated.
