I am a descendant of George Washington SHASTEEN who was married to a woman named Sarah Ann TAYLOR.Together they had at least 5 children, one of whom was my great-grandfather William Otto SHASTEEN.
My uncle gathered the information on the SHASTEEN side of the family, so I'm not sure what his sources were.He was under the impression that we were somehow descended from Pierre CHASTAIN, but I can't confirm this.Samuel D. CHASTEEN is one of my various roadblocks, so if you would be kind enough to share even the tiniest bit of information on this family I would greatly appreciate it.
