I am descended from George Chedel through John and his son George b. 20 Apr. 1780 in Pomfret, VT.From The History of Barnard, VT I have the following quote in my file notes:"John Chedel, with his family, came on foot from Connecticut, drawing on hand sleds their few possessions and arriving in Pomfret March 12, 1770."
