Re: Colin Chisholm - Long Point pioneers.
Perhaps one of you can help!
I'm doing the family tree for friends and have found an Ellen CHISHOLM marr to an Alexander CHISHOLM abt Feb 1873 in Judique.
Alexander was born abt 1844 in Long Point to Angus CHISHOLM and Catherine MacDONNELL / MacDONALD.
The 1st child I have for Angus & Catherine is John CHISHOLM being bor Nov 1842 in Judique. He was followed by Ann, Alexander, Colin, Margaret.
Alexander and wife Ellen CHISHOLM had 2 children - Mary born Dec 1874 and William Alexander born 1876 in Judique and Long Point respectively.
By the 1881 Census, Alexander was already dead and Ellen is listed with her mother-in-law Catherine.
Angus CHISHOLM was born abt 1810 in Nova Scotia according to the 1871 Census while CAtherine was born abt 1817 in Scotland.
Any information or help would be most appreciated about either the parents of Angus or wife Catherine as well as the parents of Ellen CHISHOLM who married Alexander.
In one Census Ellen gives her birth as abt 1845 and in another she says it was abt 1853 so that makes it extra hard to find her before her marriage.
