Chisam help

My name is Jeremy Chisam. I have been told that I am Native American. The family that I know of is from Isabella, MO. I have chatted with a few people who have more resources than me and have been told that our name was changed from Chisholm to Chisam and that we originally came from KY. Is there anyone who can help me finding who I am?
