Re: Christopher Choate
I have some Choate family in my blood as well. I am not sure if this is the same family since I cannot find any info about the Choate family that I know.
My Great grandma was Nannie Jane Martinez (Lee). She was born in TN (I believe) and her birthdate was 5/5/1909. She was also half Cherokee.
Nan also had a sister but I can not remember her name. Her sister passed away by drowning in a pool...she was terrified of water.
Her mom is Josephine Choate
Her dad is Will A. Lee
I also have other Choate family names. These people are all buried in Linden TN at the "Choate Cemetary" which is located on Pineview-Linden Hwy (Lick Creek)
on top of a high hill with only a logging road to it. It is also very small.
Here are the names:
1.CHOATE, Samuel H. Apr 1 1905-Mar 17 1990
2.CHOATE, William Thomas 1889-1939 Masonic Emblem
3.CHOATE, Stephen D. son of WA & MJ Jan 12 1895-Dec 18 1917

4.CHOATE, William A. husb of Martha J. feb 1 1869-Jan 21 1918

8.CHOATE, Flora P. Oct 16 1903-Oct 6 1985OES Emblem
9.CHOATE, Martha Ora Feb 24 1908-May 23 1989
I want to say that Samuel was a close cousin or something to my great grandmother Nannie...she used to talk about him all of the time and get very sad about it.
If anyone has any connecting information to the other "Choate" family that is being discussed PLEASE PLEASE email me: [email protected]
I really appreciate it!!!!
