Swenors from Vermont

Im trying to start research on my family history so Im hoping i can get some help. The only thing I know so far is that my great grandfather was Frank Swenor from the Middlebury Vt. area, and my grand father is Russell William Swenor who moved to New Jersey some years ago. My grand father and I have traced our name back to the Chouinard's from Quebec to my great great grandparents, whose names I dont have off hand for some odd reason. I also know that there is some American Indian heritage from them also. If this sounds familair to anyone or you think you can help please contact me. Thank you
