I don't currently have any info that can help you, Sorry.
But I'm posting to you because of your mention of Native Ancestory.I too am looking for info relating to Chouinards and Indian descent.I'm not having much luck, but, I have found out a few minor things. One is that depending on the area of "Quebec" your ancestors were from-they may have actually been in what is now Ontario or Ottawa.Quebec of the 17-1800's is not the same place as it is now.Now is a much smaller area. Also, ancestorial records (actually alot) of what used to be Quebec and other areas of Canada maybe held, in places here in the US, not in Canada at all.In particular in Vermont.I'm Curious as to Your Chouinard family names, were they the ones that may have had native ancestory- if so, and involves the 1800's we maybe looking for same family lines. My great-grandparents hand 12 or 13 children, (Chouinards- poss. Marieville, for sure La Prairie)
