It would seem that the Jariand in Regina's name was a variant spelling of her Mother's surname--Garand.
Found that her parents were:
Raymond Chouinard s/o Louis Vital Chouinard and Marie-Olivine Bolduc
who married 14 Jul 1902 St-Augustin de Woburn
Marie Garand d/o Onesime Garand and Marie-Adeline Chouinard.
