My great grandfather is John Christ who might have been born in New York. His father came to America from Germany but it has not been researched. I just can't seem to find the information to connect.
John Christ was married to a woman named Anna Schickerinsky who might have been Polish or Russian. I call her Anastasia, the Princess. Her personality was like that of the Russian Princess.
My Christ family line has "I1" Y DNA Haplogroup.
We are most recently of Danish/Bavarian/German ancestry with some Russian dna matches in Western Russia. I suspect this came about when our Viking ancestors went into Constantinople and parts of Russia to trade. Varangians Warrior elite/nobility, as Rurik's grave is in old Uppsala, Sweden and we do have immediate family who came from Uppsala, Sweden. There is high I1 DNA in Istanbul, Turkey from the Crimean Tartars who served in the Ottoman Empire.
We have dna matches with The Earls of Konigsfeld of lower Bavaria, Hans Christoph, Wolf Ehrenreich, Josef Wilhelm, and Albrecht I Duke of Bavaria b. 1336.
My Christ family line is Anglo-Saxon, Nordic, Saami, Ultra Norse. We have matches with middle eastern people.
My John Christ lived in New York and New Jersey.
John and Anna Christ had 2 sons, William and Herbert.
William is my grandfather.

Linda
