MARRIAGE LICENSES. -- During the month of January, Clerk Gardner issued
marriage licenses authorizing the joining in wedlock of the following
couples:

THOMAS E. SHOCKLEY, age 21 to MARY L. ROSS, age 16.

OLIVER P. SMITH, age 21 to FANNIE J. SCOTT, age 18.

JOHN W. THOMAS, age 22 to MARTHA E. CRISSWELL, age 22.

GUST WIREN, age 34 to CHRISTIEN LAWRENCE, age 25.

WM. M. COTTINGHAM, age 23 to MARTHA E. VICKROY, age 19.

WESLEY FURGISON, age 34 to MARGARET FURGISON, age 29.

JOSEPH C. MILLER, age 21 to MARY E. CLAIR, age 19.

CARTER GOOKIN, age 33 to ELLEN ROUSE, age 19.

REUBEN WAY, age 45 to MARY J. BARROW, age 36.

JAMES DAWSON, age 24 to LUCINDA BARGE, age 22.

ALBERT JORDAN, age 29 to ISABELLE MCGREW, age 19.
