David James Clair
CARLINVILLE - David James Clair, 93, of Carlinville, formerly of Winter Haven, Fla., and Detroit, died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006, at his home.
He was born June 15, 1913, in Detroit, the son of John and Melina Moore Clair. He married Nellie Shaw in 1936 in Detroit; she preceded him in death. A son, Donald Clair, also preceded him in death.
Mr. Clair was a timekeeper for General Motors and a member of United Auto Workers. He attended Bethel Assembly of God in Lincoln Park, Mich.
Survivors: son, the Rev. Douglas R. (wife, Jean) Clair of Carlinville; daughter, Lois (husband, Gary) Parmenter of Denver; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services: 10 a.m. Thursday, J.L. Peters Funeral Home, Lincoln Park, Mich. Burial: Woodmere Gardens Cemetery, Detroit.
