Re: How do you pronounce Clardy?

My dad has always said that his grandmother, Martha Elizabeth Clardy Buck b1859 in Georgia, was adamant that the pronounciation was "Clard y" -- rhyming with lard (not laird) and ending in "ie" (not a).
