I would start from the LDS ancestor search site at www.ancestorsearch.org. It hasn't got all the Clares, but there are a great many. In 1752, families didn't move a great deal, so I would guess that yours are the Gloucester cluster. If that doesn't work, you are in for a long haul, because you will need to search the Parish registers and Bristol was the second or third largest city in England at that time (very profitable the slave trade at that time!!). There are a lot of Churches there.
Another point, the Clares tend to be annoying in that they give each other the same name in succeeding generations. We have a lot of Joseph, James, John, Thomas and William. Thank God for the occasional Zachariah. It is just that for your 3rd g gfather to be born in 1752 is exceptional. 250 years for 6 generations is a long time for each. Normally one allows 20 years as a guess if you don't know, yours seems to be averaging about 40 (well, in my case, since I am about 50). This is not impossible, but it is also worth exploring the possibility that father and son have the same name somewhere back there.
Hope this is a start. Keep in touch
John
