Re: CLARINGBULL's from Kent
I have two William CLARINGBULLS or CLARINGBOULDS.I think they were father and son who were from Kent. I have very little information about them unfortunately. William senior was born abt. 1710.He died before 1779 He married Ann PACKER b. 22 Feb 1719 in Ash next Sandwich, Kent. I found a William CLARINBULL born to William and Ann 14 July 1743 in St.Peters Sandwich, Kent. I have not been able to confirm that I have the correct family for this second William. This was from the IGI Batch # 9004136.
What caught my interest in your posting is the fact that you have an ELGAR connection. I too have ELGARS in my line and it is through a marriage with a PACKER. There is also an ELGAR line from Folkestone connected through a HOGBEN marriage.
I do have some bits and pieces in my files about CLARINGBOULDS and CLARINGBULLS from Kent that I would be glad to share with you if you are interested. I also have a couple of ELGAR wills that might be of help to you.
