Could Caleb Clarkb1794 be son of John Clark in Mason co.Ky in 1795?
William Clark,Sr had brothers, George, John, Samuel, James B. and Thomas. They were millrights and farmers. they were all in Mason county in late 1700s.They owned land in Campbell co., Fleming and Bourbon counties. Could any of the brothers except,William, be the father ofmy Caleb Clark?William had a son named John that might be old enoughto be Caleb's father. The Clarks in Ky (Campbell co.) and John going to Tn in 1808 fits what little I have on his background. He married Mary Mullins who was born in Ky and his first daughter was born in Tn around 1809.Caleb must have been married before Mary because he was 34 at the time. Caleb and Mary Married in 1828 in Hall co. Ga but as I said, Caleb's first daughter, Nancy Clara Clark, was born in 1827 in Tn.
This has been a brick wall for 50 years.
Can anyone help with this?
Thanks.
