Re: CLAXON search
Richard,I don't know if this will help, but my brother (Ferman CLARKSON) has his DNA tested under FTDNA and his haplopgroup is R1b1b2a1b4c and he is positive for L2+We just tested for haplogroup.I don't understand much of this; but his does match many of the CLARKSON/CLAXON FTDNA project.
I am prettyconfidence of my research back to Peter CLARKSON b 1721 in St. Michael's on Wyre, Lancashire, England and confirming evidence from a book written by a Kinship of Angelina Clarkson, a 2nd cousin 3 times removed which included a letter from his brother James in Essex Co. VA to Joseph CLARKSON of Blackley, Lancashire, England written in 1805. What I don't know is if there were earlier CLARKSON/CLAXON who related to our family earlier. I have most of the James CLARKSON descendants accounted for after 1777 and until about 1920's.
My email is [email protected] and my tree is BUCHHOLZ-CLARKSON on Ancestry.com
