Re: Siblings of Charles Claydon - Rensselaer County, NY
I suspect the Rose Claydon in upstate New York is a different Rose Claydon from Essex, England. A Claydon family with a Rose Claydon in Essex is this:
George Claydon (b. 1842 Stebbing, Essex) m. Charlotte ? (b. 1845 Chelmsford, Essex)
-George A. Claydon (b. 1870 Harrold Wood, Essex)
-Charles E. Claydon (b. 1872 Brent Wood, Essex)
-Lucy G. Claydon (b. 1874 Brent Wood, Essex)
-Rose K. Claydon (b. 1876 Brent Wood, Essex)
-Minnie M. Claydon (b. 1878 Brent Wood, Essex)
-Elenor J. Claydon (b. 1872 Leyton, Essex)
This family is also in the 1891 and 1901 British Censuses in Essex. If they came to America, it was after 1901.
The Rose Claydon in New York married to a Crandall is probably the daughter of Henry & Anna Claydon, who came to Greenfield, NY from Solihull, Warwickshire, England in 1879. This Rose is the sister of my g-g-grandmother, Nora Claydon Bentley. This family also has a Charles Claydon as a brother of Rose.
