In 1638, and again in 1639, Thomas Boulding of Elizabeth City, Virginia used the headright of Robert Clements
In 1670, Thomas Boulding's son, William Boulding, gifted 300 acres in Gloucester County, Virgina to his then wife Rachell and Morgan Lewis. In 1675, Morgan Lewis bequeathed his half to Rachel. In 1680, Rachel gifted her half to Benjamin Clements with the provision that it go to his daughter Anne Clements upon his death. In 1681, Rachel sold Morgan Lewis' half to Thomas Morrell.
Does anyone know the relationship between Rachel Boulding and and Benjamin Clements?
The Boulding connection makes it easy to speculate that Robert Clements of Elizabeth City was the father of Benjamin Clements of Gloucester. Does anyone have any ideas one way or the other?
