Hi Sam,
Regrettably I do not recognize your Samuel Cliffe, tho am intrigued by some similarities in the locations of Ontario and Michigan between what you know and what I know aboutmy Cliffe relatives .Here'swhat I know about my Cliffe Ancestor Henry Cliffe and his family.I do not have any info about his 3 brothersSamuel Anthony andJohn , nor do I know These Cliffe brothers , all of whom were born in Irelandparents names.Theproved data came fromMichigan census,Ontario 1861 Census, obituary of Elizabeth Cliffe Martin and some generous family notes fromA. Lindsay
Regrettably I have no info about Henry'sbrother Samuel who may be your link.I do see aSamuel Cliffeinone of my OntarioLand Atlas printouts.Have you looked there ?
