Letty Clift Merritt Goolsby

Letty Merritt whose marriage to Willie Goolsby is recorded in Oglethorpe Co., GA, on 17 Nov 1805, was the widow of James Merritt of Caswell Co. NC.She, as Letty Clift, had married him on 17 Nov 1795, with William Clift as bondsman.

James died in Caswell Co. in 1798.Caswell Co. NC Will Book C, pages 379-381, October Court 1798, A list of the Sales of the Property of Jas Meritt Dec., dated 1798 July 28. refers to her as Letty Merrit and Lettice Meritt.

She then went to Oglethorpe Co. GA with Clift relatives, perhaps her brothers.

Can anyone tell me when and where she died?Who were her parents?
