Coakleys in New York (and California)

By Raymond Coakley November 13, 2003 at 03:59:54

I reviewing the Coakley home page, I see no reference to the New York Coakleys.

To the best of my limited knowledge, the first New York Coakley stepped off the boat in New York in 1819.

My generation (1920-1935?) were the Grandsons of Thomas Coakley of New York.He was a New York City Policeman in Wall Street. They lived on Pearl Street and laterlater on Ovingto Avenue in Brooklyn.

His sons and daughter were: William, Walter, Lester, Raymond, Vincent and Rita. All are now deceased.

Next generation (mine) Thomas, Patricia, Ursula,(From Walter); Vincent, Ronald, and Peter (From Vincent); William, Ann, and one other daughter (From William); Ann and Jane (from Rita Wetheral); Geraldine (from Lester; and Raymond and Ruth (from Raymond).I would like to know more.
