William Fleming Cobb(aka W. F. or Fleming) b. abt. 1850, MS, d. 1898, Johnston Co., OK, marr. Ida Marilla Bell (listed as Ida May below) in 1878, TX.I think George S. (Seaborn?) was William’s brother. They may be sons of Samuel Cobb who was son of Wilson Cobb, b. 1784, NC & Grace Seaborn.Wm. and Geo. were evidently later denied citizenship in the Choctaw Nation and do not appear on the rolls. One source indicates that testimony in a later case (#33, dated 1904) “provided sufficient evidence that Wilson Cobb was in fact a son of Henry & Rachel (Wilson) Cobb of Pendleton Dist., SC,---and their claim was disallowed”, but doesn’t mention their direct connection to Wilson.Does anyone know more about this?
