Re: Constant Cobb of Burlington Co., NJ
I may have a little info for you on some of the New Jersey Cobbs.
Constant Cobb, b. 1789, married Deborah Ford ca. 1812. Deborah Ford, b. 1789, died 2 January 1850, and was buried at Green Bank Cemetary in Burllington County, NJ. She was the daughter of Stephen Ford (b. ca. 1756, d. 15 January 1837). Stephen Ford served as a private in the Gloucester County Militia and also enlisted as a marine on the ship "Mifflin".
Deborah (Ford) Cobb married (2) James Patten (b. ca. 1812). When Deborah died, James Patten then married her daughter Elizabeth Cobb, ca. 1854. (This is a VERY complicated family.)
I have about 5 generations of Patten descendents in a GED file that I can send to you, if you like.
This same GED file does mention Rebecca Cobb, but does not provide her parentage. She was born 16 April 1813, and died 7 September 1883. Her husband, Joseph Miller, was born 1 Aug 1804, and died 23 March 1891. They had nine children: Ruth Jane, Alfred H, Thomas, Edward J, John Wesley, Jonathan S, Jesse, Mary, and Caleb.
The sixth child of Joseph Miller and Rebecca (Cobb) Miller was Jonathan S. Miller. He was born 11 August 1843, and died 21 March 1915. I don't know whether he married.
Please note that none of this data comes from me personally. I have found one serious mistake in this GED file: Constant Cobb's parents were almost certainly NOT Thomas and Lucy Cobb of Lynn, MA (my direct ancestors).
I hope this helps,
