Cogburn, he was married to Mary (Polly) Lance (1st wife) and had 3 children, Martha Ann, John Jefferson and Mary Jane.Children with Elzada Spurlow (2nd wife) were, James LaFayette, William H., Amanda, Elizabeth Catherine, George W., Andrew J., Sarah Jane Lucinda and Leander Jackson.John Jefferson is my great-great-grandfather.I have a book of the Cogburn's of Bumcombe/Haywood counties, NC.If anyone has anything different would like to know.
