Cogdell & Cogdale

I have been in contact with one of the ancestry lines connected with Cogdell and Cogdale and they believe the name comes from a Huguenot background.The Huguenot's were persecuted in France in the late 1600's.This would explain the emigration to the USA, UK, Switzerland, Germany and South Africa.Between 1618 and 1725 between 5,000 & 7,000 Huguenot's reached the shores of America. Any clues back to France?
