Hi MaryAnn, My Grandfather Vern left home when he was twelve years old. He went to the upper Penninsula and became a lumberjack. He married Rose Baker (I don't know when) They lived in Garden, Mi. in the U.P.and had 10 children three of whom died as infants. They had 6 girls, Gertrude, Rita, Cecelia(Pat),Verna,Leta and Alice. Then there was our father,Jerome Bernard.
They moved to Flint so that my Granfather could work for G.M. I think this was the early thirties but am not sure.My Grandfather died in the mid thirties from a heart attack.
We really don't have detailed info on their lives. We have a cousin, Donna Howard (who is Rita's daughter) who probably would know more details. We do not know who Anne is. We don't know all the names of our Great Aunts and Uncles. Just the ones we mentioned in the other message. And am not sure if Bernard was one of them. But I think so. Any more info you could give would be appreciated.
