Choron, Cohorn in North Carolina late 1700's
I am seeking a link to Sarah Chorn who appears as co-administrator with George Stewart for the estate of Thomas Stewart in Guilford County, NC, 1794.
As parts of Guilford County were originally Orange Co. and Rowan Co., NC, I find these records there:
North Carolina Taxpayers, Volume 2, 1679-1790, there was a Cornelius Cohorn and a Thomas Cohorn listed in Rowan in 1765.
Bruce Pruitt's "Orange Co., NC, Land Entries, 1778-1795":
Dec. 29, 1778, George Faucett enters 640 ac in Orange Co on waters of Stags Cr of Back Cr; border: Richard Bird, Empson Bird, & Jas Bird; includes the improvement where he lives and improvement he purchased from John Cohorn; warrant issued Oct. 23, 1779. (p. 68 of abstracts).
Any suggestions or help are greatly appreciated.I am trying to verify whether Sarah Choron was actually Cohorn, and was she the daughter of a Stewart and sister to George and Thomas Stewart?
