NARA gave me the wrong information and her is the right info. It is very hard to read the manifest and after looking at it myself i can see why.
Filomena colangelo was from Forenza Italy, 17 yrs.old , weaver, could not read or write and was traveling with her brother rocco's wife Filomena Palmieri, Italian women use their maiden name until they reached the shores of New YOrk at Ellis Island , then she became Filomena Colangelo. Filomena Palmieri Colangelo was traveling with two children Ines 5 and Venezia 3. More children were born when they were in Hartford, CT.
The 1920 census for Hartford, ct. lists
Rocco 45
Filomena 42
Ines was married and not on the census
Venezia 19
Joseph 12
Anthony 10
Lena 8
Helen 6
William 4
Viola 2
Robert 1/12
If you recognize any of these names please let me know. betty facciuto Mclaughlin
