Leon Colas was my late grand-father’s uncle and Elie Colas’ brother.

My late grand-father, Ernest Elie Colas (1913-2002) was the illegitimate son of Elie Colas and his maid; he was raised by his aunt, Anna Colas, who resides in Montreal.

To my knowledge, Elie had many children with several women.

There is only one Colas family in Cap-Haitien, some members are “legitimate” and others are not.
