Grace - Small world - I just checked in to post a question about Rupert & Emma Jane Collins!!I have checked out a few book on Shawnee history, and what I have found in print states that Tecumopeas, sister of Tecumseh, was married twice to Shawnees and her third husband was a white man by the name Maissonville - not Collins. The Full histories I have found state that they have documented proof, but I have not been able to contact anyone to see what that proof is yet. Also, the last book I had on Tecumseh stated that Tecumopeas was over 50 years of age when she married for the third time, and it it VERY unlikely that she gave birth to any children from that marriage, although the book acknowledged that several people claim to be descendants.I don't doubt the Indian heritage, just the ancestral line they are claiming. It this is true, Tecumopeas would be my 5th great-grandmother.Would love to have more information on this!Gloria
