Cornelius Collins NJ OH & IN
Mary Polly Collins, born 1811 in Ohio is my 4th great grandmother. She married John Evilsizer on 8 Dec 1831 in Champaign Co., Ohio. Shortly after marriage, they left Ohio and settled in Knox Township, Jay County, Indiana. Mary and John had 8 children, including a son, John, Jr. (my ancestor). Mary is suspected of having a brother, David Collins, born circa 1813 in Ohio, and he also moved to Jay County. Both Mary Polly and David are thought to be the children of Cornelius Collins, born in 1768 in New Jersey. It is suspected based on census records that Cornelius' wife was born in Virginia.
