Hello,
I am researching the Brewster family that lived in Louisiana at about the same time that the Comalander family did. Gideon Brewster was a border in the Daniel and Margaret Comalander household in 1910. He was a widow at that time. Gideon's son, Daniel, married Martha Comalander White on Aug. 18, 1883. Daniel and Martha are buried in Bethany cemetery in Louisiana. Gideon Brewster's daughter, Annie, married a George W. Crippen, Jan. 20, 1895. There seems to be two Daniel Comalanders in the 1870 census for Sabine parish. The old houseplace that belonged to Gideon Brewster also was to have an "uncle" Daniel Comalander that stayed in the log cabine after Gideon passed away. I am interested in any information, if any, that you may have that would shed some light on the Brewster connection to your family. Thanks, Chris Smith
