I have an obit for Mary Hendrickson, dates Thursday, March 23, 1916 from the Hempstead Sentinel, Inc.(b. 1835, d 1916)

Funeral service for Mrs. Mary Hendrickson who died on Thursday o f last week was held Sunday afternoon from her late residence in Gladys Avenue by the Recv. C. H. Snedeker. Mrs. Hendrickson was born in New York City 81 years ago, the daughter of Coleman and Prudence Entes Combs. TheCombs family were among the earliest settlers in Hempstead. They came here in 1650.Up until six years ago, she had resided in New York City. During the past six years she has lived with her daughter in Hempstead, Mrs. Hendrickson was a sister of Ann Edredg and CAtherine Jane Duryea, wife of the late Garrett Duryea. The Combs family received many land grants from the English crown. Their land at one time extended form Jerusalem Avenue at Uniondale to Whaleneck Avenue.

Mrs. Hendrickson is survived by two daughters,Mrs. Mary Jane Blake of Hempstead, Mrs. Gladys P. Jackson of New YOrk; two sons, Stephen and George Hendrickson, both of New York. Interment was in Greenfield Cemetery.

I apologize for typos.
