Hi Josephine and Allan G. Taylor, it's Bill C. Taylor here. I saw your e-mail on Minnie compton of Casey co. and thought I would say Hi. The Bery Lane that you speak of was the mess mate of my Eson(Eason,Easom,Ison,Isom)Taylor in the Civil War. Eson was in the 8th Ky Cav. the I co. He married a Sarah Jane Earls of Casey. Bery Lane was just over the ridge in Ellisville. I am trying to find out who the parents of my George Taylor was, who married a Jane Ann Porter (d/o Samuel Porter Sr. and Elizabeth Johnston from Botetourt co. Va.)The Lane branch now was the old Porter Branch before. My George Taylor lived on the Little South Fork on the sulphur Branch next to the Simpsons. I think my George's father or Grandpa was a JOnathon Taylor who was 4 houses away in the 1830 census of Casey co and Jno was married to a Loranna. I think they were out of the Zacharias Taylor line and the old George Taylor of Mercer co. who died in 1790. The first born of George was an Ellan Taylor who married a William Lane who was a brother to Bery Lane and Abram Lane & Sarah. Abram & Sarah were appointed guardians to my William Taylor & his sister Mary Francis Taylor when my old George Taylor did not come back from the Mexican War. There was a Joel and Robert Compton who married Mary and Jennie Taylor who were sisters. They were the d/o of an old William Taylor who lived in the Forklands of Boyle and Casey co. What Taylor line is your husband out of? I will close for now but hope to talk to you later, since we may be kin? Sincerely Bill C. Taylor, 3826 Dogwood Rd., Floyd Knobs, IN 47119, at work Bill.Taylor@mail.state.ky.us God Bless your searchs.
