I descend through William/Rachel's son Edmund Conard. He married Lydia Andress. Their daughter, Anna Louise married Mordecai Barnes. Their son, Edmund Jesse married Elsie Volk. Their son Edmund Conard married Edna Jenkins; Their daughter, Bertha married Carl Mock; and I am Bertha and Carl's daughter. The Barnes, it seems, wandered back and forth between Coatesville, PA and Wilmington, Delaware.
The Barnes, as I mentioned above, are all buried in the Riverview Cemetery on Market Street in Wilmington, Delaware.
In the Delaware Archives, I read that Edmund Conard took over a hotel, "The Lafayette," in the 1850s.(I assume this is the same Edmund as I mentined in the above.)
I understand that Edmund and Rachel Conard are both buried in Bradford Friend's cemetery in Marshallton, PA.
I was a neightbor to a family "Gray" which still live in the West Bradford area.Their ancestry was Quaker; in fact, one of the female ancestors, with the last name "Embree" was a well-known Quaker preacher.A little hamlet just west of Marshallton, PA is named for the Embree Family.Do you have any information on Rachel Gray's family?
