My father is Alan of Limerick and his father Robert Henry established the shop in Limerick. Robert (Bob) was married to Frances (nee Eades) who was the first lady Mayoress in Ireland and was particularly famous for a welcoming speech made to JF Kennedy on a visit to Ireland in the early 60's. Bob's father William was a farmer in Wicklow (Slieveroe) married to Kezia (nee Hall) and we believe that Williams father was John. The Condell seem to have come to Ireland in the sixteen hundreds, but a very large number left Ireland for Australia, New Zealand, the US and Canada. Some of our Condell's apparently moved from their homes in Wickow where they farmed on property owned by Earl Fitzwilliam to Ontario, Canada where they worked on a canal? The origin of the Condell's seems to Be Normandy via several conturies in England around the Liverpool region.
