Do you have a date for the marriage of Mary and Culman? I ask because there is a query about Coleman Condry on the Condrey forum.
About the variant spellings: those depended, of course, on the preference of the person making the record. They don't really distinguish one family from another. Here are some examples.
On 30 July 1850, my 2ggf Lilburn and his brothers and sisters met to sign a document about their dead brother Albert's Mexican War land grant. The signatures are in their own hand. Here they are: Lavina Furgason Paulina Furguson Emeline Clark Sterling Condry Thomas Condrey Lilburn Condry
Here is Lilburn in 4 census records: Hamilton Co., TN 1840 p. 155 L[ilburn] Condre20-30 Hamilton Co. So he is Condry, Condre, Condray, Conder. And one of his brothers is Condrey on the same day that Lilburn is a Condry.
