Charles Betts Cook who was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina and later lived in Tarboro, North Carolina.He married Laura Melvina Pender,widow of Josiah Pender some years after the Civil War.Charles and Laura had three children: Fannie or Mary Francis Cook who married T.W.
