James Cook son of William & Catherine (Short) Cook.
Married:-Possibly Elizabeth Wills 1828 at Quethiock, Cornwall.Of this marriage, one son, William, bapt. Quethiock 1828.
James had to have died before 1848 as his Aunt, Ann Short left £18 to "James Cook's children". No mention however of how many children.
Unfortunately James Cook had a cousin, also James Cook,born in the same village, who died 1829. Cousin James might have been the one who married Elizabeth Wills which would explain why there were no more children after William 1828.
Common names to the Cook family. William, George, Joseph, James & John (every generation the same) Mary, Catherine, Grace, Elizabeth & Sarah.
