Re: Cookingham desc. of Johan Georg
I'm not going to be a great deal of help to you.
I can only pass on what I've read in a book, THE COOKINGHAMS
DESCENDANTS OF JOHAN GEORG KUCHENHEIM.
It was first compiled in 1923 by Walter S. Cookenham Sr.
Revised and updated in 1980 by George E. Cookingham.
I have this revised edition.
It talks about the fourth migration of Palatines.
I quote: "Three Guckenheims or Kuckenheims (Cookinghams)
came with this fourth migration. They were Barbara,
Daniel, and Johan Georg (John George.) They may have been
sister and brothers, or possibly widow and young sons.
She was probably in her late teens, and the boys under ten.
According to the old records of the German Reformed Church
in the Flatts, now the town of Rhinebeck . . . .they came
from the Marquisat (Marquis) of Baden-Durlach, Germany
You probably know all this and I'm sorry I can't
be more helpful.
