George (1) COOLBROTH d 1752 NH
I am interested in any information on this family. There is evidence that George COOLBROTH was the brother of John COLBREATH, a Scotch-Presbyterian later of Newington NH and the earliest known of that name in the Colonies.
George was born in Ireland, md prob. by 1710 a Mary in Ireland; came to Casco Bay ME between 1718-1722. He died in Newington, Rockingham Co,NH.
He was associated in some manner with: William and John JAMESON, William, David and James PATTERSON.
In 1727 both John and George are shown on a Portsmouth NH tax list.
George and Mary had children George, James, Pitman, William, Joseph, Benjamin, Susanna, Mehitable and John (my line, b c1710 in Ireland, who md Sarah HARMON 1732 at Scarboro).
Sarah was the Sister of James HARMON who md Elizabeth SMALL.
