Elizabeth Smith, wife of John Corbin, dau. of Tobias

Douglas:Thanks for the great information you have posted.I had done little research on William Smith as I could not find him in the Essex Co. records.

I am very confident that Tobias Smith and Phoebe Smith were the parents of William Smith who married Grace.William was not yet born 29 Sept.1647 based on a deed for cattle to son Toby and dau. Phoebe.William had been born by 1654 when Toby deeded 1600 acres to sons Henry and William on the N. side of the Rapp. River.

William is also named in Toby Smith's will dated 20 Dec. 1657.Toby is dead by 15 April 1658 when his inventory is appraised.

Children of Tobias Smith and Phoebe Smith were:
TobyPatented 504 ac. land in Rapp. Co. now Essex on 23 September 1674. Probably died young.
Phoebem. Wm Hodgkins, Wm. Slaughter, Wm. Peachy
Williamm. Grace Butler
Henrym. Unknownnamed sons Henry and Toby in will proved June 04, 1684 in Essex. Wife was living.
Elizabeth m. Edward Adcocklived adjoining Rockingham
Thomasm. Sarahnamed ch. Thomas, Jr., John, Elizabeth and Sarah.Will proved 25th day of November, 1679 in Essex.My line is through Thomas, Thomas, Jr., Samuel, Dr. Griffin, a Bapt. Minister who removed to Georgia in 1791.Would like to share information with you.
