Item #1 - Henry County Alabama DEED: To Absalom Shirley Sr. from Jane Corbitt et al on Feb 7, 1870 Book K Page 1080-1/ $1,000 for 120 acres, signed 16 Jan 1870, NE 1/4, SE 1/4, Section 16 & N 1/2 of SW 1/4, Section 15, Township 8, Range 27, Signed Jane Corbitt, J.T. Hammock, M.W. Lynn, C. Corbitt, S.C. Corbitt, Sallie Lynn, M.A. Hammock(NOTE: this is likely a sale of property by the inheritors, perhaps wife and children of deceased husband/father)
Item # 2 - Henry County AL marriage record: Neidham Sherley (NOTE: thelikely correct spelling is Needham Shirley as I have seem repeated elsewhere) & Martha Corbitt at William Sherley's (Note: likely correct spelling is Shirley), 28 Feb 1871, page 286, William Sherley (Note as above: Shirley) on bond.
