Re: Isham Corbett in Alabama

This Isham has been a mystery also to me. I have considered him as a possible candidate for the Isham, father of Wealthy Corbitt who was wife to James Pafford and later Isaac Curry. He is the only Isham Corbet/Corbitt of the approximate same age range that I have been able to find in any census 1830 up to 1860 when Isham Corbitt then appears in household of daughter Wealthy Curry in Clinch Co., GA. Did Isham raise two families or did some of his children from GA join him in AL? Other possibilities? According to Huxford he left his family in GA about 1827 and went west for a very long time.
